Description of research article Article: Liver Transplantation in Children: Maternal and Family Stress, Coping, and Adaptation By: Geri Lobiondo-Wood, Laurel Williams, and Charles McGhee Purpose: To study the adaptation processes of families whose children underwent a liver transplant 15 mothers whose children had received a liver transplant Focused on the relationship between the stressor and the ability to adapt Focused on mothers perception Results- maternal stress changed, but family stress remained unchanged.
