 Standard #2: Learning Differences  The teacher uses understanding of individual differences and diverse cultures and communities to ensure inclusive learning environments that enable each learner to meet high standards. Name of Artifact: Children’s Multicultural Book Collection  Date: July 19, 2015  Course: EDUC 255  Brief Description: For this assignment, I gave two multicultural children’s books that can help students understand race and disabilities. These books show how we are all the same and should be treated the same because we are all people.  Rationale: To document my understanding of Standard #2, I showed how the differences between cultures and children with disabilities are all around us. Using one as a new student in a classroom and another as a different nationality to learn and study about their culture.
