WHAT IS ERGONOMICS? The study the study of people’s efficiency in their working environment It is Important that as a worker, you are stress free while making making sure there are no health concerns or issues in a working environment

HEALTH CONCERNS WHILE WORKING WITH COMPUTERS -Repetitive Stress injuries Vision Problems Headaches Carpel Tunnel Syndrome is the condition assonated with extensive computer use and other tasks tat evolve hand and wrist motion

How to prevent Wrist Injury Using computers, sometimes the Wrist bends to the sides when using side keys A possible Solution for this is Habit training, get keyboard with more accessible keys, or split keyboard design Also exercising your wrist muscles should help prevent injury and

Using a Chair Effectively When sitting down it is important that you are not slouching as it puts strain on your back which can lead to aches and pains in the future Also it s important that you are not sitting for a long period of time as it is benefits you take brakes and do something active. If you do sit for long make sure you have a chair that supports posture change, through movement, size, or easy adjustability Ensure your Chair fits properly epically seat pan depth and height. Also make sure the monitor is at a good distance from your eyes

Monitors Glare causes more stress on the eyes and it is important that you remove that incoming light Making sure your monitor is clear will allow you to access your things without putting strain on the eyes. If needed upgrade monitor or enlarge image To prevent forward position of the head (peering) or squinting, check monitor image quality and/or tilt monitor back Keep you Monitor at least 65 cm away from your eyes

Keyboard/Mouse Bring mouse and keyboard closer to the body to prevent frequent or prolonged leaning or reaching Have arm rests on your chair for prolonged mouse usage and also take frequent brakes Having Wrist support while on your computer could help prevent any wrist issues. Using a soft wrist rest for the key band mouse could be very beneficial If your uncomfortable upgrade to a newer mouse and more ergonomically keyboard

+ Desk Area It is very important to keep an organized desk area so that your mouse and keyboard are in a good positions Also it will relief stress knowing that all of your stuff is organized

Providing Extra Support  Provide more knee space and a U-shaped work surface layout to prevent Twisted torso  Turn off, reposition or dim task lights to prevent too much contrast between screen and surrounding  Make sure the top of your screen is aligned with your eyes  When using a computer your elbow should at a 90 degree angle
