Dick Hoyt was a hero father to his son Rick. Dick has helped Rick out with a lot in his life. Rick wanted to be in a 5 mile benefit run and his father Dick agreed to push him and his wheelchair.

Rick Hoyt was Diagnosed as a spastic quadriplegic with cerebral palsy. He enjoyed doing sports with his dad. Him and his dad have completed a 3,735 miles in 45 days. Rick and his dad do so many races together and enjoy doing it.

The lesson learned is that it is good to help people that are mentally challenged and want to do things. When there is something that wants to be done don’t hold back just because you feel you cant, go for what you want to do in life.

My hero is my mom because of all the stuff she put up with. She has to deal with me all the time and I give her a hard time but she always laughs. I love her!!!!!!

This inspires me because most of the time I want to do something but I don’t do it because I am afraid I wont be able to accomplish it. The way Dick cares for Rick and does all those things makes me want to never give up!!!
