SUADA – WATER ISLAND
The brick palace was built approx. 200 years ago for Esma Sultan, an Ottoman Sultan’s wife as a summer palace. Destroyed by fire over a twenty five years ago and the exterior brick walls are all that remained of the building. In 1990’s the building is started to be used for summer events as an open space for concerts, receptions. After the building started gaining public attention, it has been decided to use the beautiful land-marked ruin, for the whole year long as an event and exhibition venue.
