Do sentences begin in different ways? ((Make your sentences have different ways of starting, like using next, or then.)) Do sentences vary in length and structure? ((Complex and Compound sentences come in handy, start with a complex sentence or have FANBOYS in the middle)) Can the reader move with ease from one sentence to the next? ((Make your sentences flow organization is a key part in having your readers be caught in your story and not confused)) Does the writing have a natural flow when read aloud? ((Think of having your paper read aloud, it may not be the best thing to talk during the TAKS test, but writing for your teacher.))

The FANBOYS are the words that you use to make compound sentences. For And Nor But Oh Yet So
