Tekkon Kinkreet is a feature-length Japanese animation by Shogakukan and, in my eyes, isn't a quality film because of it's storyline but because of it's unique art style. This review displays a good critical analysis of how the animation (as a movie) is missing it's magic by going under American management. WordPress: Redline is another Japanese animation that is unique because of it's art style. Created by Madhouse, it is set in the future and is mainly about racing. The movie features bright colours and an intense display of movement. I discovered a blog about this particular movie and was persuaded to watch Redline. I enjoyed the animation very much but wouldn't have ever discovered it without this Blog's many trailers and upbeat reviews on the storyline, art style and good voice acting.
