A concrete noun can be observed by using one of your five senses. You can see it, feel it, hear it, touch it, and/or smell it. An abstract noun is a something that you cannot see or touch. It is something that exists only by feeling and emotion. You know that it exist, but you can't give it a description or bodily appearance.
