UDL Curriculum RETELL strategies allow students to access both WIDA and Common Core Standards. Mastering Common Core Standards is the goal. It is where we want all students to go. Included with Common Core are the WIDA “Can Do” standards, which are specifically related to the mastery of academic English The curriculum is the car. Lots of different types of cars can take students where they need to go. However, in order for a car to work, it needs certain key components. UDL is the road. It makes it possible for the car to reach the STOP sign. It is much easier for all students to remain in the car if the car is on a nice smooth road, not off-roading. In the car are the students. We need them to be able to reach the goal COMMON CORE & WIDA
