Predicates The predicate tells what the subject is or does.

Read the following sentence The cowboy rides a horse. Identify the subject The cowboy What does the cowboy do? rides a horse.

Identify the predicate of the sentence Jose jumps out of bed. Papa works in the morning. We count the cows. jumps out of bed works in the morning count the cows

Write a sentence telling something a cowboy does and underline the predicate. A cowboy ropes the cows.
