Contents of Presentation Reflection Questions Assignment Showcase - Digital Citizenship Prezi - Technology Safety PowToon - Eco-friendly Economics Paper Summary - ISTE Standards met

Prior Technological Knowledge Before taking EDU 341, my knowledge of technology was very limited, especially for someone of my technologically savvy generation. I was very familiar with PowerPoint, had fiddled with Excel, and was a master at Microsoft Word. Little did I know that tools existed such as PowToon, Emaze, and Jing. Reflection Questions

Educational Technology Growing up in Middle TN classrooms, technology played a major role in education throughout my middle and high school years. For this reason, I have had no doubts about technology in education because it was tremendous help to me. Reflection Questions

Course Expectations When I enrolled into this course, I expected to learn useless information about technology that I would most likely never use again. I was very wrong, Informational Technology helped me immensely to simplify and broaden my repertoire of useful tools and resources. The class environment was very laid back and stress- free and I have full confidence that I will use some of the presentation tools I now know about in the future. Reflection Questions

Problems The problems I faced in this course were minimal. We had step-by-step instructions and were given the opportunity to ask any questions necessary to be successful. The problem I anticipated would be when I took my work out of the classroom to complete, but help was just an away. The biggest problem I encountered was having to channel my creativity, but now I am apt to thinking outside the box for my students. Reflection Questions

Me as a Learner To me, taking this course revealed to me that I am a easy learner. I was able to easily transition into using more technology and understanding the extent of programs. I welcomed the new information and still want to learn as much as I can in the areas of technology that I do not know yet. Reflection Questions

Digital Citizenship Prezi Description: We were to practice with Prezi by making a presentation about being digital citizens. Importance: The importance of the assignment was to get us thinking about our responsibility as users of digital media. Impact: The work done for this assignment taught me how to use media properly. Assignment Showcase

Technology Safety PowToon Description: We were to make a PowToon presentation and name some rules about internet safety. Importance: This assignment was important because as teachers, we care about our students and we need to educate them on the dangers on the World Wide Web. Impact: This assignment made me think about how truly dangerous it is to have a presence on the internet. Assignment Showcase

Eco-friendly Economics Paper Description: For this assignment, we worked with the teacher to give a new look to a research paper. Importance: The importance of this assignment is to show us that we do not have to have a boring paper to turn in. Impact: By completing this assignment, I learned many new ways to use Microsoft Word to add pizazz to a document. Assignment Showcase
