MU processes for reference ONC HIT Certification Program + CMS Sequence Developer creates EHR products to meet certification criteria Developer submits EHR to ATL for testing to selected criteria & ATL generates test report Developer submits test report and other required document to ONC-ACB for certification & ONC-ACB issues certificate for scope of capabilities tested EP/EH/CAH selects certified product(s) from CHPL that were used to demonstrate MU and generates CMS EHR ID # representative of selected product(s) ONC-ACB submits certified EHR products to ONC for listing on CHPL pending ONC validation Provider submits EHR Certification ID to CMS as part of MU attestation and CMS validates as part of process Start End
