To practise pharmacy a graduate must be a MEMBER of the Society, i.e. MPSNI IF you wish to become MPSNI you must undergo a further period of training of one full calander year If you wish to undergo this training in Northern Ireland you must become a TRAINEE of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland

It is your responsibility to: –Make sure all forms are completed –Submit by deadlines –Incomplete forms will be returned to you for correction
Employer and Tutor declaration forms Give these to your future employer with the Standards document Ask the employer to complete the relevant employer form THEN pass to the tutor with standards document Tutor signs form and returns this (with standards document ) to employer Employer returns both forms and standards document TO YOU BOTH FORMS must be returned with your application (NOT SEPARATELY)
Health Declaration Are there any issues in relation to your mental or physical health that may impair your fitness to practise that you have not previously advised the Registrar in writing? YES / NO If you are concerned that a physical or mental health problem may impair your ability to practise, you must seek to clarify this with your physician or consultant and make a health declaration in writing to the Registrar.

Evidence of MPharm degree awarded Evidence – MPharm certificate You have to apply before you have this evidence You may wish to start before graduation –You must have letter from your university confirming you have been awarded an MPharm degree Head of School at QUB sends us a list –You must send a certified copy of your degree certificate into the Society’s office within TWO months of commencing training

Failed a level 4 examination –Cannot start pre-registration training until MPharm confirmed –Inform employer of likely start date –6 week overlap rule –Not eligible for June Registration Examination – 45 weeks training –Do not delay application – can confirm start date later! –Can start training between 4th July 2016 and 12th September 2016.
