Indiana Department of Child Services Child Protection Services “protects Indiana's children from further abuse or neglect and prevents, remedies, or assists in solving problems that may result in abuse, neglect, exploitation, or delinquency of children” ( 2014).

Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997 “The Adoptions and Safe Families Act of 1997 (P.L ) was signed into law by President Clinton on November 19, The new law, which amends the 1980 Child Welfare Act (P.L ), clarifies that the health and safety of children served by child welfare agencies must be their paramount concern and aims to move children in foster care more quickly into permanent homes” ( dop.htm). dop.htm

Comparison The child protection services of Indiana align with the ASFA in that in strives for the betterment and the overall wellness of the children They strive to ensure that children are not living in situations that can cause them harm or others any harm
