Article Detail

Authors Article Update & Change Notes Notes: New field in CTD to allow for the authors to add change/update notes to articles to inform users of what the major changes were in the article. This address the users needs to know what has changed since the last time they visited. Articles are viewed over and over and refreshed many times as users follow issues. Unlike the typical article that is read by the user and then they don’t revisit. Date, previous updated dates and updated since last visited are system generated. The text is only item provided by author. If field is empty in CTD, the entire block is not displayed.

Subscribe and Unsubscribe from Articles Notes: A button added to top of Article Detail views as well as Channel views which allow them to subscribe to the Article so that when updates or edits are made they are notified via . The button has 2 states. Turn On and Turn Off. There may also be a module on the home page with a list of the last X Subscribed Articles and Channels updated for the logged in user. The feasibility and recommended approach is currently be investigated internally by the Mosys/OTEX team.

Lat and Long Mapping Notes: A new widget is being implemented in the CTD for Article that will allow authors to look up and associate a primary lat/long coordinate as well as any number of alternate coordinates. The exact service to provide the 2D maps is still TBD but a few options have been identified. Map will be zoom-able with points plotted al-la Google Maps experience. Place Names and Lat/Long data will also be listed below map. Option to enlarge map in light box like view. Addition of MGRS (Military Grid Reference System) data that is programmatically generated by Lat Long.

Associated Articles Notes: Alternate enhanced visualization of Related Articles. This is the manual relation in the CTD not a programmatic relation that will be provided by Search Engine.

Clean Up Article V2 Tab UI Notes: The below was the intended and approved UI for the article tabbed navigation. Current implementation is out of alignment. Adjust CSS and HTML to match below.

Link Content Type Notes: New content type of “Link”. Supports the need for Authors to publish links as well as Articles in the same Channel. Also allows Authors to associate related external links/URLs to an Article for display on the Article detail view (below).

Other Search related Module Notes: The below are currently be scoped based on OpenText Search Implementation. Were originally defined and scoped on previous Autonomy capabilities.
