Discussion of SET(Specimen Event Tracking) Profile We discussed LBL supplement in Tokyo meeting last year. Two new optional transactions was suggested. 1st event “labels & containers delivered” was added in LBL profile. 2nd event "Specimens collected" should not be part of this profile. This event exists in LTW between Order Placer and Order Filler. However it is not described explicitly enough. Specimen Event Tracking (SET) actor: “Specimen Event Informer” & “Specimen Event Tracker” Background

No.Use case (idea) SEI→SET example (real world) Existed profile notes 1 Patient called ( outpatient ) Blood collection support system→LIS/HIS For waiting time management 2 Patient come, certify ( outpatient ) Blood collection support system→LIS/HIS 3 Specimen collected ( outpatient ) Blood collection support system→LIS/HIS 4 Certify inpatient before blood collecting in ward HIS→LIS Certify system →LIS 5 Specimen collected ( inpatient ) HIS→LIS Certify system →LIS 6 Specimen carried out (inpatient) Blood collection support system→LIS specimen left the collection area 7 Specimen carried out (outpatient) Specimen management system →LIS specimen left the collection area 8 Specimen arrived to lab Pre-processor→LIS LIS→HIS LDA SAC-8 LTW ORC-5 9 Specimen broken LIS→HIS LTW OBX-11 Test result 10 Specimen lost LIS→HISLTW OBX-11Test result 11 Specimen stored Post processor→LIS 12 Specimen discarded Post processor→LIS SET(Specimen Event Tracking) Use case (idea)
