English IV Expectations Jennifer Cooper San Marcos High School English IV August 24 & 25

The Goal…May 28, 2016

British Literature  British authors  Business writing  Personal writing  How is literature applicable to today?

What do I need?  1” Binder  Paper  Something to write with  You can borrow, but please be responsible.

Electronics  We will use them.  You may be able to use them responsibly.  Watch the signs.  Ask to charge.  Be respectful, and your needs will be respected.  IPods will be available for use.

Restrooms  Please only go when necessary.  Wait to go until there is a pause in instruction.  Be responsible.  Take the pass  Don’t be gross…WASH YOUR HANDS!

Class Rules  Be nice.  Work hard.

Attendance  Door will lock when bell rings. You will have to bring a slip from the office for admission.  You must remain in the classroom the first and last 20 minutes of class (per the school policy).  Check the website.  We miss you!

Grading Policy  Behavior Grade/Work Completion= 10%  Content Skills Grade= 90%  Tests and projects will count twice.  Late work will be accepted for 10 points off per day.  Cheating and plagiarism will earn a 0.
