Muscular disorders Kyla Tempongko Julio Castaneda

☞ We produce lactic acid during exercise. The effect of lactic acid is to overwork the muscles, results to fatigue. ☞ It is important to stretch before and after exercise to distribute the lactic acid. ☞ During rest, the joints of the body replace the supplies of lubricants they have used up. ☞ It is important to rest and drink plenty of water to minimize the fatigue.

0 There are several ways of preventing muscular disorders, the best way to prevent is through the observance of proper posture and proper exercise.

TERMDEFINITIONCAUSEEFFECT TendonitisInflammation of Tendons Excessive stress causes tendons to inflame Inflammation and pain on the muscles CrampContinuous painful involuntary contraction of skeletal muscle. It is sometimes caused by an imbalance of the salts in the body, but is more often a result of fatigue, imperfect posture, or stress. Pain. Possibly inability to perform Fibrositis Inflammation of connective tissues on muscles. Affects the trunk and back muscles. It may be a symptom of another disease, such as Sciatica, but in most cases the cause is unknown. Pain and stiffness

TERMDEFINITIONCAUSEEFFECT Muscle FatigueTiredness following prolonged or intense activity May be due to de-hydration and the waste products of metabolism. Tired/aching muscles. AtonyA state in which muscles are floppy, lacking their normal elasticity. Still unknown for dependent causes Soft and floppy muscles Muscular Dystrophy A hereditary condition marked by progressive weakening and wasting of the muscles Each form of muscular dystrophy is caused by a genetic mutation that's particular to that type of the disease. Walking patterns Stiff and restricted joints Tightness of muscles Drooping eyelids Curvature of the spine Inability to walk
