Creation history The Siberian Federal University (SFU) — the Russian federal university located in Krasnoyarsk. The largest university of east part of Russia. It is founded in 2006 by merger of four higher education institutions of the city. In 2012 the Krasnoyarsk state trade and economic institute and NIITs "Crystal" were also attached to it.
