L ATITUDE AND L ONGITUDE

L ATITUDE  Latitude lines are parallel lines which run eash and west.  They tell how far up (north) you can go or how far down (south) you can go  The equator divides the earth into two hemispheres.  The lines of latitude are numbered from 0  (at the equator) to 90  at the north and south pole.

L ONGITUDE  Longitude lines are imaginary lines that run from the north to the south.  The Prime Meridian is 0  and runs through Grenwich, England. It divides the earth into two hemispheres.
