Italian Project Goal n Italy needs a large reduction in the CO 2 emissions n Severe commitment between (about 40x10 6 tons CO 2 /year) n Italy is planning to buy credits on the market, possibly through CDM project implementation

Yinchuan LFG Plant - Ningxia Total Landfill Volume = 6,750,000 m 3 Waste load rate = 500 tons/day (to become 1,000 tons/day) Power Installed = up to 6 MW Electric Power generation = about 600 GWh/year in 20 years GHG Reduction = 3.2x10 6 tons CO 2eq Investment = 8 Mln Euro Period of Implementation: December 2004 – ongoing (construction early 2007)

Landfill Gas Recovery - Tianjin n Scope of the work: –Technical and economical feasibility study for the landfill biogas recovery and utilization to generate electricity –CDM framework n Period of implementation: –January 2006 – September 2006

Pingjipu Cattle Farm - Ningxia Total Livestock = 18,000 cows Waste load rate = 73,000 tons/year of solid manure Power Installed = 760 KW (1 st module) Electric Power generation = 9,800 MWh/year (1 st module) GHG Reduction = 28,000 tons CO 2eq / year Investment = 4 Mln Euro Period of Implementation: December 2004 – ongoing (construction early 2007)

Biogas Recovery – ShunYi District n Scope of the work: –Technical and economical feasibility study for the biogas recovery and utilization to generate electricity from pig manure n Period: –December December 2006 (design and CDM procedure)

Biogas Recovery – Lohoe (Henan) n Scope of the work: –Technical and economical feasibility study for the biogas recovery and utilization to generate electricity from pig manure –CDM credits generation n Period: –January 2004 – ongoing (construction starts in 2006)
