Presentation transcript:

Taglines: You can run but you cant hide. Beware of the shadows! Not so silent… Explain why these ideas fit the horror genre/conventions: These ideas fit the horror conventions because the title have this feel that cannot be described. The first one would give off a creepy feeling towards the audience and the other two would make them fear something. The second one would make the audience wary of their surroundings because of ‘the shadows’ and it had told them to be carful, it was a warning about something bad is going to happen. The title is called ‘the Daeva’ and a Daeva is a semi god / demon that is summoned by creatures, the Daeva would feast on people on the shadows and it doesn’t matter who it would go on a killing spree. The last one would pull the audience in because it had left them hanging, because of the ellipses so it would make them curious of what the film is about. The title is called silent night but the tagline is not so silent so that means that all the bad things/murders happen on a silent night and that wouldn't be a silent night.

Symbol and images The symbol in the masthead is the tip of the Eiffel Tower, but it is upside down because it is below Paris as the title suggests. Text font & size The text is in capitals and it is in black. The writing is quite scratched so it could represent their sins because in this movies the sins would drag them down to hell. Because the writing is scratched and the background is red, it could represent that the sins (red) is eating them up(the title) because they are guilty of what they did. Text Colour The colour black could represent the darkness because they are underground, it also goes with the colour red. Background The background is red because it represents death, blood, hell, sins & the devil because its all of his doings that they are being dragged to hell.

Symbol and images In this it is a family portrait but the two girls which are sisters have blood covered on them. This could mean that there is problems between the sisters and the step mom, and that they are going through devil like experiences… Text font & size The text is in Korean… but it means a tale of two sisters because they go through though hardships together. They would face a lot of horrifying things. The size is big so it would be noticeable on the poster. Text Colour The colour e the black white because it would stand out with the black background. Background The background is black and a purpley colour so this would make it look more focused on them because everything around them fades out.
