Advising To consult their advisors on all matters pertaining to their academic careers, including changes in their programs. o Learn the advising requirements of your department o Find the section in the General Bulletin that applies to your degree and read it o Look over your program in the General Bulletin for course recommendations
College Rules To observe all regulations of their college and select courses according to the requirements of that college. o Pre-requisites, co-requisites o Note that many upper division courses are taught once/year or even once/2 years
Attend Class To attend all meetings of each class in which they are enrolled. Instructors will announce at the beginning of the semester whether they consider attendance in computing final grades. o Dean of Sciences and Mathematics wants an attendance policy for all courses.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act You have privacy rights to your educational records – Parents can fill out a form in the registrar’s office for permission to view your record
Requirements for Graduation To fulfill all requirements for graduation.
SFA Regulations To be personally responsible for fulfilling all requirements and observing all regulations at SFA.
Communications To answer promptly to all written and notices from advisors, faculty, deans and other university officers. o University policy says you have to maintain a titan account and check it daily.
Application for Degree To file an Application for Degree in accordance with the policy stated under “Requirements for Undergraduate Degrees” in the General Bulletin.
