Blueberry Paste - is a phyto composition manufactured from common blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) berries homogenized with seeds and peels; this plant belongs to the list of medicinal plants used in officinal and folk medicine, as well as in food industry of Ukraine and many countries of the world.

Its composition includes carbohydrates ( %): glucose, fructose, sucrose, pectin; organic acids ( %): citric, lactic, oxalic, malic, succinic, ursolic; vitamins: ascorbic acid (5- 6 mg%), carotene ( mg%), group B vitamins: thiamine (0.045 mg%), riboflavin (0.08 mg%), nicotinic acid (2.1 mg%), flavonoids (790 mg%): astragalin, hyperin, quercetin, isoquercetin, rutin; anthocyans (30 mg%): delphinidin, idain, malvidin, myrtillin, petunidin; phenol oxy-acids: caffeic, quinic, chlorogenic (18 mg%); phenols and their derivatives: hydroquinone, asperuloside, monotropeoside; tannins, catechines (6 mg%): gallocatechin, epicatechin, epigallocatechin, epigallocatechin gallate; essential oils, cyclic hexahydric alcohol inositol, anthracene derivatives, stilbenoid pterostilbene; iron, copper, manganese, selenium, and zinc compounds; besides, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus are accumulated. The product has antioxidant, cytoprotective (cardio-, hepato-, neuroprotective, antitumor, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic, secretion-stimulatory, capillary-stabilizing actions, as well as cholesterol lowering, hypoglycemic, and prebiotic effects; it acts as a natural enterosorbent.
