"Are you sure you don't have any homework?" Homework Basics for Parents As a general rule, I assign homework 2-3 times per week. The majority of time "homework" is an assignment that your child started working on in class and needs to complete at home for the following day. Unless otherwise stated, I expect homework to be done in pencil OR pen. (black or blue ink ONLY)
