SOCIAL STUDIES CHAPTER 4 Pilgrims

Why was the journey considered long and difficult? The Pilgrims sailed from England to the New world. Too many people were on the Mayflower Many of the Pilgrims got seasick Ate the same kind of food day after day Pilgrims were rarely allowed on the main deck No bathrooms Wore same clothes day after day

What were the first laws the Pilgrims made-even before they left the ship? We made this journey for the glory of God, our country England and King James III We planned to settle in the Northern part of Virginia, but we are now in Massachusetts. In the presence of God and one another, we promise to form a government for our new colony. All of us will obey the laws of our new government.
