Congruent Angles: Construct angle B congruent to the given angle A. A

Draw a ray on your paper to serve as one of the sides of the angle you will be constructing. A

Mark a point on the end of the ray and label it point B. This will be the vertex of our angle. A B

Set your compass to a default length and draw an arc across both rays of angle A. A

Keep the compass set at the same width. Put the needle side of the compass on point B and draw the same arc. B

Set compass width equal to the length of the arc that was created on angle A. A

Keep the compass set at the same width. Put the needle side of the compass on the intersection of the arc and the bottom ray. Draw a new arc that intersects the original arc. B

B Make a point at the intersection of the two arcs. Then draw the second ray to form angle B by connecting point B and the new point you just made.
