How a chef uses simple machines………. By : Tiffany

This is how a chef uses a screw…….. The seasonings are a screw when u screw the lid on that is a screw.

This is how a chef uses an inclined plane…… They use them by when they have to bring in the food they bring it in on a cart or dolly so they have to bring it up on a ramp a. There for a ramp is an inclined plane. They also use them by getting the food off the truck because they are using a cart or a dolly they cant use stairs they have to use a ramp and a ramp is an inclined plane.

This is how a chef uses an wedge….. They use a door stop / wedge to air out the kitchen when it gets Smokey they open the back door to let it air out or sometimes they do it if they get to hot. They also use knifes and knifes are wedges. Some resrurants have offices and if they want to open the office and leave it open they will use a wedge or door stop.

This is how a chef uses a wheel & axle..... A chef use a dolly or cart to bring the food inside and a dolly and cart have a wheel and axle, so there for they are use a wheel and axle. They also use a cart to carry dish's around on and they even serve the customers food by pushing a cart around. There for they are using a wheel and axle.

This is how a chef uses a pulley……. Some resrurants have them basket type things outside that have veggies or herbs in them hanging high up they just reach up and pull down using a pulley.

This is how a chef uses a lever….. When they get a wooden box in filled with frozen or just food they have force it open so they use a crow bar to get it open. There for a crow bar is a lever.
