W HAT IS A PODCAST ? Podcast- a series of audio files posted to the internet that can be subscribed to using it’s RSS feed. Developed in the late 1990s, podcasting became mainstream in the mid 2000s. Today, there are over 2 million podcasts available on the internet.

W HAT IS A P ODCAST ? Similar to blogs, podcasts have an RSS feed that allows users to subscribe to individual podcasts. Podcasts are released by episode and automatically downloaded to subscribers.

H OW T O S UBSCRIBE To subscribe to a podcast, you must have a ‘feed reader,’ which is a program that allows readers to access RSS feeds. Once a podcast has been subscribed to, your feed reader will automatically check for and download new episodes.
