Natural Breaks – Obvious differences

Changing Classifications

Equal Interval – Notice the equal ranges of values. Quantile – Equal number of features. Notice, values are unimportant.

There are not an equal number of states per class. Equal Area There are 5 states in each category Quantile

There are 5 states in each category – the top most populated, the next 5 most populated ….. The 5 least populated states.
