Content Area: Social Studies Grade Level: Kindergarten Summary: The purpose of this instructional PowerPoint is to help students understand and be able to correctly use the words and phrases that indicate location and direction. Learning Objective: Given a phrase or word that indicates a direction or a location, the student will be able to correctly identify the word with 100% accuracy. Common Core: K.11 Use correct words and phrases that indicate location and direction, including up, down, near, far, left, right, straight, back, in front of, and behind. ISTE standard: Creativity and innovation Students demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop innovative products and processes using technology.

Facts Direction allows you to be able to tell the location of anything in a map. Direction also allows you to be able to tell the location of anything around the world. Once you learn direction and location you will be able to tell whether something is located up, down, near, far, left, right, straight, back, in front of, or behind.
