Making a Startup Disk Control Panel Add/Remove Programs Startup Disk Tab Use Windows 98 startup disk for both Win 95 & 98. Windows 98 Startup Disk contains Oak CR-ROM drivers.

Initialization Files Contain setting information for programs and the system. SYSTEM.INI is for the operating system. Other.INI files are for other programs. Used for pre-Win 95 programs.

Registry Files SYSTEM.DAT USER.DAT Contains setting for Windows 95, 98, NT.

Configuration Files CONFIG.SYS AUTOEXEC.BAT Used to load drives for pre-Windows 95 programs.
