Myths and Facts Darby Blair period.2

What is my section about? My section is about myths and facts. And to have the knowledge of some things are true and some that are false about suicide. I will give detailed examples of how important this section really is.

Main Idea: A person suicidal person can shift from sad to happy, and that they’re fine but they still might not be.

Examples of: There are many myths and facts about suicide. For example, a myth like people who attempt suicide don’t generally talk about it. Truth is they really do. The young people who attempt suicide will continually talk about suicide and stuff on that topic.

Fiction Story Bill Johnson thought his friend Mark was just a regular kid. But Mark tried to kill himself after his parents divorced. He tried but failed. Bill found out about his attempt but later on through the year he thought Mark was ok. But 5 months later Mark succeeded in killing himself. If Bill knew the myths and facts about suicide he could have helped and recognized a problem with his friend.

Importance: This topic is important because it can save others. Others including your friends your family or even yourself!

Summary: The section myths and facts is important for all students. This section will help students know what’s true and what’s false about suicide. Just reading this section could save a life. Will you know the difference of true and false statements about suicide?
