Will Ferrell's Eco Friendly Bachelor Pad

Location Pennsylvania is the location the sun is low in the winter and high in the summer. This will help with our cooling and heating, which I will talk about later. Pennsylvania has direct sunlight in the winter, and with our heating and cooling system is indirect in the summer. Pennsylvania also has lots of resources and the climate supports our energy source.

Landscape Low shrubs are necessary to not block the light from hitting out house. Though it has to block sunlight in the back, “where the sun don’t shine.” There can be lots of grass and much for plants. Though nothing can block the light that shines on the panels.

Energy Sources Passive Solar Heating- In the summer the roof blocks the sun when its higher in the sky. In the winter, when the sun is lower and less intense more heat/light will come in Photovoltaic Cells- The Solar panels n the roof capture the light a and send the electrons to appliances. The left over energy is stored in a generator. And is our off-grid energy source. Graywater Collection- Wasted water from other homes flows into the hose through pipes and is stored in large tanks. Until needed as the water supply

L.E.E.D. Elements Our L.E.E.D. elements all consist of the sources of energy and heating and resources that power our house. Water Efficiency is one L.E.E.D. element that is supported by our Graywater Collection system. Energy & Atmosphere is another L.E.E.D. element that is important in our house. They are used through our Photovoltaic Cell, or Solar Panels. Innovation in Design is the final important L.E.E.D. element that is important in our house. The Passive Solar heating is very innovative because it is not as commercialized as other heating and cooling systems
