Written Critique When I was thinking about what site to pick for this assignment, I knew right away I wanted to pick a well known site. PBS is one of the biggest names in education for children and teachers. I feel that the teacher’s PBS site is much more well known then the children's PBS site. If I were rating the Teachers PBS site they would have received an A, because the site is so helpful, well organized, and current. The children's PBS site did not live up to the greatness of the teacher’s PBS site, I gave the site a B. There were many reasons why I gave the site a B. The first reason was there was no author on the site anywhere, I looked for quite some time and never found any information. Another reason would be the fact that the information was very hard to find on the site. It was extremely unorganized and difficult to navigate. That bothered me some because I was just thinking how hard it would be for a young child to navigate through the site to find what they were looking for. Overall, the information on the site was very helpful and a great way for kids to have fun while learning. The site was also very up-to-date and that was visible at the bottom of each page. The only advise I guess I would give to make the site reach its full potential, would be to better organize all the information and not have the site so cluttered with advertisement and images, because that really distracts the consumer who is visiting the site and looking for something.
