Unit 2 Review Mrs. Sherwood

Conscience - a power of the mind that makes it able to tell whether an act is good or bad

Covenant - an agreement between God and human beings

Absolution - forgiveness of sin

Reconciliation - sacrament in which God forgives us

Contrition - sorrow for sin

Angelus - prayer in which we remember the Annunciation

Penance – makes up for sin and helps you change

Why do you worship God? We worship God because He made us and we belong to Him. He is great and wonderful. He is loving and forgiving, all-holy and all- powerful. He created all things.

How do we keep the covenant of love we made with God at Baptism? We keep our covenant with God when we celebrate the Eucharist and other sacraments, when we keep the Commandments, and when we try to be more like Jesus. We keep the covenant when we love God, ourselves, and others and when we worship God.
