Unit Portfolio Presentation Mr. Mohsen Elostaz

 At the end of this lesson each student will have a very good idea about the meaning of compressed air, how we can create it and where we can use it.  As example each student is expert in playing football but not all of them know what is inside the football, and how to fill it with compressed air.  Each student will know what the nature of compressed air and how can we create it by playing with balloons.  Each student will discover some advantages and disadvantages of compressed air and the function of an air compressor.

 Essential Question (Q1) Can you drive your car without tiers or can you stop the trailer without brake?  Unit Questions (Q1) When you blow the balloon with air you will be as a ……… and the balloon will be as………....? (Q2) State some applications for compressed air system?

(Q1) What is the meaning of compressed air? (Q2) What are the advantages of compressed air? (Q3) State some safety precautions when we use compressed air.

 Find ways to get my students more interested in learning Mechatronics. (Pneumatics subject one part of the Mechatronics).  Learn about different kinds of technology my students and I can use.  Share ideas with other teachers

 Purpose of the Assessment  To gather information about what students already know.  What I want to learn from my students?  I want to find out what they already know about the compressed air.  How I have tried to promote higher-order thinking?  I ask students to find relation between the balloon example and an air compressor.  How the assessment information helps me and my students plan for upcoming activities in the unit?  I can provide my students with balloons to discover the meaning of compressed air by them selves.  If students have different levels of understanding about the meaning of compressed air, I can provide various resources, such as football.  What feedback or additional ideas I’d like?  Poster, More examples from Website.
