Taking Evaluations
- The student logs into MyVU - Selects the “Student” tab
- The student logs into MyVU - Selects the “Student” tab - Selects Academic Services
Click on Student & Financial Aid
Click on Registration
Click on Registration History
Click on the “Evaluate” link for any and all classes you wish to take the survey for
All answers are required.
All answers are required… except the final “Open Ended” question.
When all questions are filled in and the open ended is as desired, click “Submit Evaluation”
Getting Results
Log in to the MyVU portal and navigate to the Self Service screens.
Click on ‘Faculty & Advisors’
Click on ‘Faculty Detail Schedule’
Select the proper Term
- Scroll down to the course you want to see results for - Click ‘Course Evaluation Report’
- The SurveyDIG Results page will pop up. - This page will list all of your courses for the selected term.
- To get results for a specific listed course:
- Click on the number of Evaluations Taken for the specific course
- Scroll down to view details
- Any ‘Open Ended’ comments left by students will be at the bottom
Getting Advanced Results
Now that we’ve seen the basics on getting results, let’s look at a couple of more ‘advanced’ topics.
- To jump to a particular course, you can enter a CRN into the “Course” box - A different term can also be selected in the Search area
- By selecting ‘Only Courses WITH Surveys’ and clicking “Search”, you can hide courses with no results from view.
- Comparative Averages – Show how a particular eval compares to other courses
- Number Response Counts – Displays results as number of responses per choice rather than a percentage - Include Min/Max/Median – Displays each of these per item
- Display Item Code – Will show the internal item code for each question - You may want to use this to get the code to refer to if you spot a problem with a question
- Hide Text Entry/Comments – Will hide the ‘Open Ended’ comments written by students
- Don’t forget that each time you change an option at the top, you must press ‘Search’ again to apply your changes.
