Dragon Mission
Mission The world is burdened with wars that are often the result of illogical prejudice. Imagine you are a dragon that wants to live in peace. But everyone is trying to slay you just because you look like a dragon. Of course you'd be mean! The Problem The Mission Design, build and present a dragon that can make friends. If we want to live in a land free of meanness, the cycle of prejudice and counter-prejudice must be stopped! You can’t judge a dragon by its scales!
Goals At the end of this mission, all the dragons will attend a “Noble” Peace Party. Peace prize nominees will be judged by: Cleverness of solution. Reliability. Number of modules used in your solution. Presentation. Teamwork! Working together and sharing ideas.
Modules Modular construction is BIG! Break your solution into simple motion, sensor and structural modules. You may find instructions for useful modules in Build-It-Blocks.
The Plan 1.Plan and design. 2.Build modules. 3.Build obstacles. 4.Integrate and test your solution. 5.Document results. 6.Present your project to the world. There’s a lot to do! If we don’t work together, our solution may fail.
Look’n Good Present your solution! Make cool characters. Draw signs the way. Use many and shapes. Be neat and organized. A good idea that looks ugly … may not get the attention it deserves!
