 What happens in the aftermath of Chapter 7? How is Gatsby’s reaction to the events of Chapter 7 somewhat troubling?  Who seems to be in a better position with Daisy: Tom or Gatsby?

 Did Gatsby fall in love with Daisy or with her elite society membership? Find at least one quote to support your position.

 Why does Gatsby finally tell the ‘truth’ to Nick? What does this reveal about Gatsby’s character? How about Nick? Find one quotation to support your response.

 “I don't think she ever loved him.’ Gatsby turned around from a window and looked at me challengingly....
