Welcome to Touch System Data Entry Mrs. Terrell Room 305 A

Overview  Semester Course  Goal:  Be able to touch type  Do not look at hands while typing  Programs  Microtype Pro  MS Word  Proofreader’s Marks  Timed Writings  Tabs  Letters  Memos  Reports  Tables

Grading  Daily Grades = 30%  Daily assignments  Quizzes Major Grades = 70%  Projects  Tests

Classroom Rules  No food, drinks, or gum is allowed in the room.  Cell phones, iPods, and hats are not allowed.  Do not sit on your desks.  Do not lean back in your chair.  Be respectful to others and your equipment.  1 Restroom Pass Per marking period.

Computer Responsibilities  Absolutely no games or internet surfing  Do not try to fix your computer  Please let me know about computer problems, so you are not held responsible.  Maintain your computer equipment and do not damage the hardware

Attendance  Be in the room when bell rings.  If you are not inside the room when the bell rings you will be referred to the tardy table.  When absent, check with me to see what work you missed.  It is your responsibility to keep up with missed assignments!!

Tutorials  Students need to schedule an appointment to make up work in the lab. You must have a red pass for tutoring.  The lab will be available:  2:20-3:00 Monday-Thursday
