College Life 1.I know that college life will be very different from high school. 2. My parents wont be there to wake me up in the morning. 3.I will have to do this on my own. 4. There will be no instructor that will take it easy on me just because I am new to college. 5. No more tardy bells. 6. A bunch of more walking and a lot of more home work. 7. More essays and less time to work out and eat healthy.

High School Life 1. Waking up late and your parents yelling at you to wake up because you are going to miss the buss. 2. Tardy bells, I.S.S., A.E.P., Lunch detention, Referrals. 3. Free breakfast and lunch. 4. Less walking. 5.Less home work and less essays.

Differences between College life and high school life College life 1. Is voluntary and expensive 2. You manage your own time. 3. You must decide whether to decide to participate in co-curricular activities. 4. You muse balance your responsibilities and set priorities. You will face moral ethical decision you have never faced before. 5. You often have hours between classes; class times vary throughout the day and evening and you spend only 12 to 16 hours each week in class 6. You arrange your own schedule in consultation with your adviser. Schedules tend to look lighter than they really are. High school life 1. Is mandatory and is usually free. 2. Your time is structured by others. 3.You must have permission to participate in extra curricular activities. 4. You can count on parents and teachers to remind you of your responsibilities. 5.Each day you proceed from one class directly to another, spending 6 hours each day 30 hours a week in class. 6. Most of your classes are arranged for you.

Similarities You go to classes Teachers stand in front of you and lecture You take tests you earn a diploma They have rules. Semesters If you go to a high school boarding school, they are both campuses

What I Think I think that when I go to college it will be very difficult for me to make it. I will have to push my self to my limit and beyond. I will realize how my parents and my oldest brother felt when they all went to college and struggled. I will have to adapt to college life fast whether I like it or not. I will have to get a job and raise my own my unless I get a scholarship, but I will still have to get a job if I want to be in a dorm. Even if there is a lot of more walking in college then in high school, it is still pretty healthy because even walking can be a workout. In this summer program I have learned a lot and walked a lot. So far I think this is not the beginning of college yet, I know there is a greater challenge waiting for me in college.
