Richard Pryor In 1966, Pryor penetrated the medium of television, appearing in summer shows such as Rudy Vallee's On Broadway Tonight and the Kraft Summer Music Hall. These appearances, as well as several on the Ed Sullivan Show, and the Johnny Carson and Merv Griffin shows brought Las Vegas calling.
