Center of Gravity This tutorial will show you how to determine the location of the centroid of a triangle using Working Model

Create a small circle using the Circle button. Circle

Move the circle to (0,0) using the x and y location input boxes.

Cut and paste the circle using Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V.

Move the pasted circle to (0,9) using the x and y location input boxes.

Copy and paste another circle and place it at (6,0).

Using the Polygon button, create a triangle using the centers of the circles as the corners. Its height will be 9 meters and its length will be 6 meters. Polygon

Using the drop-down menus, place a measurement box that will determine the x and y locations of the center of mass of the object.

Using the Zoom button, zoom in on one of the circles. Using the Anchor button, place an anchor on each of the circles and also on the triangle. Zoom Anchor

Press the Run button to obtain the solution for the center of mass of the triangle. Run CG at (2,3)
