Project Second Wind: Final Day Today is the final day of Project Second Wind. Thank you to all who participated! Each student who donates the equivalent of $100 by the end of Project Second Wind will receive special recognition. Air Petition to Governor Brown There are chemicals being dumped into the air by colored glass companies all around Portland that have been shown to give people cancer. My brother (Llewellyn) and I (Matreya Barnett, 6th) have started a students petition to Governor Brown with help from Josie Chatkupt(6th) and Lily Burke(6th). The three of us will be in the courtyard before school tomorrow with signature pages and you can sign the petition in the office. PLEASE NOTE: It is VERY important that NO ONE signs more than once. The entire pages of signatures will be discarded. Also NO fake names. This starts today and ends next Friday, March 4 th. We need 400 signatures. Many people are at risk of these chemicals. We at Sellwood are not in the immediate danger zone, but we are still very close by. Please come see us before school or sign the petition in the office. Thank You!
