London is the capital of Great Britain

Sights of London Westminster Palace (Вестминстерский дворец). It is the main center of political life in the UK because the British Parliament sits there.

Big Ben. Some people think that Big Ben is the whole tower. Big Ben is really a bell. It weights 13,720 kilograms. You can hear its sound every hour.

The Tower of London (Лондонский Тауэр), is a Royal fortress, built in the 11th century. It is situated on the north bank of the River Thames. During its history it used to be a fortress, a castle, a prison and even a zoo. Now it is a museum where you can see Crown Jewels. It is also known for the ravens that live there. The special people (Beefeaters) feed the ravens.

The London Eye is a huge observation wheel.

Trafalgar Square (Трафальгарская площадь) was built to commemorate Admiral Nelson on his victory in the Battle of Trafalgar. The square is now a popular site for political demonstrations. In the center of the square stands Nelson's Column. Around the Column there are four lion statues that guard the column.
