What is Wiki? Wiki is a representative application of Web2.0. It refers to a community-oriented collaborative writing hypertext system.

Who invented the Wiki? The inventor of the concept is Ward Cunningham. This term derived from the Hawaiian language, "wee kee wee kee", originally meaning "Hurry Hurry“.

Wiki different from Blog The difference between wiki and Blog is Wiki is a collaborative writing tool for people.

Wiki technical characteristics Easy maintenance. Simple format. Convenient links. Scalable. Accessible to Revision recording.

Wikipedia Wikipedia is the largest Wiki System in the world. Wikipedia is an successful example of the application Wiki technology.

How can we use wikis in education? Use wikis to write ordinary books that teachers can use, print, copy, and improve. Use wikis as a tool to allow persistent knowledge accumulation. The tool is transformational course material.

How to use wiki in school? Wikis can be a simple content management tool for teachers. Wikis can be an environment where students learn how to use web technology while doing something as simple as handing in their homework. Wikis can be a playful environment where groups such as classes or clubs get to maintain their first online presence.
