SPORTSMANSHIP A = EXCELLENT CONDUCT AND SPORTSMANSHIP. PLAYERS COOPERATE WITH OFFICIALS AND TEAM MEMBERS. THE CAPTAIN CALMLY CONVERSES WITH OFFICIALS AND HAS FULL CONTROL OF HIS/HER TEAM. (4 POINTS) B = ACCEPTABLE CONDUCT AND SPORTSMANSHIP. TEAM MEMBERS SHOW MINOR DISSENT THAT MAY OR MAY NOT MERIT A WARNING. TEAMS THAT EARN 1 YELLOW CARD WILL RECEIVE NO HIGHER THAN A B RATING. TEAM CAPTAIN EXHIBITS SOME CONTROL OVER HIS/HER TEAM. (3 POINTS) C = BELOW AVERAGE CONDUCT AND SPORTSMANSHIP. TEAM SHOWS VERBAL DISSENT TOWARDS OFFICIALS OR OPPOSING TEAM THAT MAY OR MAY NOT MERIT A WARNING. TEAM CAPTAIN EXHIBITS MINOR CONTROL OVER HIS/HER TEAM. TEAMS THAT EARN 2 YELLOW OR 1 RED CARD(S) WILL RECEIVE NO HIGHER THAN A C RATING. (2 POINTS)

CONT.… D = POOR CONDUCT AND SPORTSMANSHIP. TEAM CONSTANTLY SHOWS DISSENT. MULTIPLE INSTANCES OF POOR SPORTSMANSHIP TOWARD OFFICIALS AND/OR OPPOSING TEAM OR ACTIONS THOSE INFLAME OR PROVOKE. TEAM CAPTAIN HAS LITTLE CONTROL OVER HIS/HER TEAM. (1 POINT) F = UNACCEPTABLE CONDUCT AND SPORTSMANSHIP. TEAM IS COMPLETELY UNCOOPERATIVE. TEAM CAPTAIN HAS NO CONTROL OVER TEAM. ANY TEAM EARNING 3 CARD INFRACTIONS OR 2 RED CARDS WILL RECEIVE AN F RATING. TEAMS OR TEAM MEMBERS USING FALSE IDENTIFICATION WILL RECEIVE AN F RATING. ANY TEAM WITH PLAYERS, OR SPECTATORS, IN POSSESSION OR UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL WILL RECEIVE AN F RATING. ANY TEAM THAT FORFEITS A SCHEDULED CONTEST WITHOUT ADVANCED NOTIFICATION WILL RECEIVE AN “F” RATING. (0 POINTS)

CONTINUATION TEAM MUST MAINTAIN A B (3.0) AVERAGE TEAMS MAY ONLY RECEIVE ONE (1) C RATING IN THE TOURNAMENT. ADDITIONAL C RATINGS OR BELOW WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM THE TOURNAMENT.

RULES NO ALCOHOL OR TOBACCO ALLOWED GAME TIME IS FORFEIT TIME ALL JEWELRY MUST BE REMOVED ROSTER LIMIT OF 8 PLAYERS (2 PLAYERS MINIMUM TO START) 2 BIRDS ONE STONE BALL IS AN EXTENSION OF PLAYER, IF BALL IS KNOCKED OUT OF HAND THAT PLAYER SHALL BE DECLARED OUT! NO HEAD SHOTS!!! DO NOT SQUEEZE THE BALL

BOUNDARIES PLAYERS MAY LEAVE THE BOUNDARIES ONLY TO RETRIEVE STRAY BALLS; HOWEVER, YOU ARE SUBJECT TO BE HIT AND DECLARED OUT. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT THROWING A BALL FROM OUTSIDE THE BOUNDARY AREA, YOU WILL BE DECLARED OUT! NO EXCEPTIONS. WHEN PLAYER LEAVES THE PLAYING COURT TO RETRIEVE STRAY BALLS, THE PLAYER MUST TOUCH THE WALL IN THE DESIGNATED COURT IN ORDER TO RESUME PLAY. ANY PLAYER FAILING TO DO SO WILL BE DECLARED OUT! PLAYERS MAY NOT KICK THE DODGEBALL. ALTHOUGH IF PLAYER DOES AND IS CAUGHT BY THE OPPOSING TEAM, THE PLAYER WHO KICKED THE DODGEBALL WILL BE DECLARED OUT!

ELIMINATING THE TEAM OUT! HITTING AN OPPOSING PLAYER WITH A THROWN BALL BELOW THE SHOULDERS. HOWEVER, IF A PLAYER DUCKS OR IS ON THE GROUND, THEIR WHOLE BODY IS FREE GAME. CATCHING A BALL THROWN BY YOUR OPPONENT BEFORE IT TOUCHES THE GROUND. FURTHERMORE, IF PLAYER A THROWS A BALL AND IT HIT AN OPPONENT B THEN STAYS IN THE AIR AND IS CAUGHT BY ANOTHER PLAYER FROM TEAM B, THE ORIGINAL PLAYER A THROWER IS “OUT”. WHILE WAITING TO CATCH A BALL IN THE AIR YOU GET HIT WITH A BALL, YOU ARE “OUT”. YOUR CATCH MEANS NOTHING BECAUSE YOU WERE STRUCK WITH A BALL FIRST. PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR ATHLETIC-TYPE SHOES. NO BARE FEET OR SOCKS. ALL DECISIONS MADE BY ANY INTRAMURAL STAFF OFFICIAL ARE FINAL. THEREFORE, ARGUING ABOUT A RULING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND CAN AFFECT YOUR TEAM SPORTSMANSHIP RATING.
