Cornet activities Innovating Footwear Design Based on Biomechanical and Physiological Parameters FOOTyWEAR

Cornet activities  The purpose of the innovative solutions proposed by the project is to improve production technology, increase the range of materials and a considerable improvement of the quality of manufactured shoes, especially those for a special use, eg. for diabetic foot.  Solutions designed especially for SME sector will involve establishing a series of material and design requirements allowing to obtain adequate quality of shoes and material requirements for manufacturers of components and starting materials.

Cornet activities  The investigations will be divided into two main group: 1-comfort, 2-chemical safety.  In Part 1 the hygienic and wearing comfort of materials, materials compound and ready-made footwear will be investigated. In Part 2 the total amount of chemical substancest prohibited for shoe materials will be checked with the possibility of their migration during schoe materials compound near human’s foot.  After that, the main frame of materials used for preparing footwear for diabetic foot will be settle.
