Applications: 1. Patience is a virtue. God is not slow concerning His promises, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Regard the patience of our Lord to be salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him (2 Pet 3:15).

Applications: 2. It is far better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong (1Peter 3:17) 3. It is far better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong (1Peter 3:17) 3. But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed (1Peter 3:14).
